Retirement party
We celebrated my Dad's retirement last Saturday at Country Side Dinners with a family-style dinner served in an Amish home in Clare.

Batter
The latest batch of cakes was the largest, and according to two taste-testers, also the best. Betsy liked the cake because of the colorful sprinkles; Brian liked it despite the sprinkles.

Retired

| Dad bringing home his boxes last Friday. |
After nearly thirty-eight years, my Dad retired from his position as a Chemical Engineer at the company where he had worked since he graduated from college.
When friends inquire about what he's going to do with all his time, my Dad laughs. His children (especially those of us with houses) have plenty of projects to keep him busy, and he already has a part-time job lined up.

Last week the papers were signed and now Betsy and Josh have a fixer-upper house to get into a livable condition before their wedding in April.
