 Because of bio-security concerns, Libby wasn't allowed to be around poultry during her internship this summer. Thus, she couldn't get any chicks. But, she was able to order one of the last shipments from the hatchery this fall. A boxful of peepers arrived yesterday. 

New window

For my birthday, Dad installed a new window in my kitchen. I feel like I have just left the eye doctor's office with new glasses--I can see everything!

 Yesterday our office hosted an international Thanksgiving celebration for 150 students, faculty and staff, complete with a Norman Rockwell inspired photo backdrop.

 I found these leaves near the library and collected them to brighten my desk. 

S'more dip

Dump chocolate chips in an oven safe baking dish. Layer marshmallows on top. Heat oven to 400˚F. Warm dip until marshmallows are gold on the top. Serve immediately with graham crackers.

Cuyahoga National Park

 Julie, Libby, Naomi and I spent the weekend exploring Cuyahoga National Park. We split the distance between Michigan and Pennsylvania and met in Ohio. The weather was absolutely lovely for early November, sunny and mid-sixties, and perfect for hiking trails and exploring waterfalls.
