Tomato soup

4 tablespoons butter
small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, diced

6 tablespoons flour
4 teaspoons sugar (optional)
salt
pepper
basil
oregano
thyme

1 quart tomatoes

1 quart milk

Saute butter, onions and garlic.

Stir together flour, sugar, salt, pepper, basil, oregano and thyme. Blend flour mixture in onion mixture.

Remove from heat and gradually stir in tomatoes. Return to heat and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute.

Gradually add milk. Heat to almost boiling.
