As a child, I loved Frances Hook's Bible story illustrations. I was especially fascinated by the story titled "Elisha Had Kind Friends" taken from 2 Kings 4:8-11, which tells of how a Shunammite woman built a special room at the top of her house, with a bed, a table, a chair and a lamp, for Elisha to use when he passed by.
I didn't have to build an extra room onto the top of my house, but it did need to be remodeled and furnished with a bed, a dresser, a desk, a bookshelf, a mirror and lamps.
This room isn't for an itinerate prophet; it's been prepared for an unaccompanied minor in Samaritas' refugee foster care program.
