I rediscovered the magic of library ebook loans--checking out and returning books without having to leave the house, not to mention the joy of always having my book when I'm sitting in a waiting room. I will admit that most of my recent reads have had little value beyond entertainment, but the one I most recently finished did more than just kill time. Every Falling Star by Sungju Lee is a young adult memoir of a street boy fighting for survival in North Korea. It offers an inside perspective of a society, culture and belief-system very different than my own.
