We had a wrap-around sunset the other evening. It's not unusual to have brilliant sunsets this time of year, but it is unusual when the entire sky blazes with color. The sun rises in the east, behind the barn, and sets in the west, behind our neighbor's house. But at quarter after nine at night, a couple of weeks ago, the sky behind the barn was streaked with pinks and purples while the western sky boasted blue-gray clouds against a pale pink background. Unfortunately my camera can not capture a 360 degree view, or I could have photographed a wrap-around sunset.
