Saturday night we eagerly waited for the last you-pick customers to finish picking and haul their buckets to the barn. Then we locked the door and headed to the Whippy Dip for our end-of-the-blueberry-season ice cream celebration. True to our tradition, it was dark by the time we enjoyed our treat. But it was worth the wait, especially since the soft-serve flavor for the week was root beer!

Thanks for commenting Sabine. My aunt from Brazil doesn't like root beer either. She says it tastes like medicine.
ReplyDeleteBut I really like it, especially with ice cream. Sometimes we put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a glass and cover it with root beer. Root beer floats or "brown cow." Yummy. That's what the soft-serve root beer ice cream tasted like.
One of my favorite treats is a 'brown cow.' What a nice reward for your hard work at the blue berry farm!
