Jack's personality (dogality?) is so different than Charlie's. Unless Charlie were on the brink of death, or I were invisible, I wouldn't be able to capture a picture of him lying in his dog house like this. But, if things are under control, Jack doesn't see the need to rouse himself (if Jack doesn't think they are under control, though, he will be doing his part to right the universe quicker than you can decide if dogality is a word).
Your description of Jack reminds me of Hank the Cowdog. Have you read that one?
