I'm reluctant to admit how excited I was when my books arrived at the start of January for a class I'm taking. It's a sheltered immersion class, about how to help language learners develop their English skills while learning content. After completing this class, I plan to add an ELL endorsement to my teaching certificate.

I remember when I was teaching at Roosevelt and I had two or three students who only spoke Spanish and I felt so bad we didn't have any resources to help them at that time.
