We were blessed with an abundant apple harvest this year. Our front porch is covered with bushels and baskets and boxes and bags of apples. We are preparing to have friends over this evening for a hayride and to press apples into cider. My job this evening is to fry donuts and perhaps apple fritters to accompany the cider.

Yum! Cider and donuts. Sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you all had so many apple trees, Amy. How large IS your orchard now?
ReplyDeleteBetsy O.
We have about twelve dwarf apple trees along with an assortment of peach, apple, plum, apricot and cherry trees in our orchard. Besides the apples, we harvested one peach and a few plums. The non apple trees have only been planted for a few years. The green apples in the picture came from a tree at my Grandpa's old house.
ReplyDeleteYummy!! :) Lydia told me about your hayride... Sounds like tons of fun!
