The heat index was in the triple digits this week and I felt miserable. On Tuesday I was able to escape to Lake Huron with two of my friends and two of my sisters. But Wednesday I had computer work to do. It was too warm and stuffy to concentrate in the house and unbearably hot outside, so I set up a card table and folding chair in the root cellar. To my delight I discovered wireless internet reached the basement. So to the sound of water dripping in the sump pump pit and the smell of onions, I typed, formatted, and edited documents in the coolness of my office.

Good thinking.
ReplyDeleteThat's smart!
ReplyDeleteOur basement/cellar is nice and cool too when it is hot elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteSo you have wireless there? Is it because you are so near to Midland? I think it would be nice to have wireless, but at least we don't have dial up :)
good idea but I think your office needs a bit of decorating....at least some flowers on the desk :)
ReplyDeleteFlowers would be a good addition!
ReplyDeleteI was going to suggest a waterfall in the corner with a little toe-dipping pond until I reread the part about the sump pump...
