One of the blessings of the Cookie house is its lawn. We have an acre plot lined with mature trees. The previous owners landscaped with rocks, flowers, bushes and ground cover. On warm days in the classroom, I can't wait to get home and discover what's in my flower beds. We have a line of daffodils along the south side of the house and another line in the front garden. But, my favorite spot is the garden just outside the kitchen window. There's a small concrete pool with an old hand pump. I've been rearranging rocks to line the path through the trees. When it's warmer, I'll try to figure out how to fill the pool. I also need to recruited a couple of strong fellows to transport my lawn table. Then Julie and I will be able to walk along our garden path to our outdoor dining area.

Preparation
The boys had plans to erect a "new" used pole barn. With our barn burning last month, a new building for a shop is a higher priority. The boys are working as hard as they can to prepare the foundation so they can raise the building in time to service equipment before hay season begins in June.

The story
Thousands of years later, God came down from Heaven to earth and became a man. He was perfect. He took the sins of everyone. Then he died, so that they could be perfect.
But, he didn't stay dead. Three days later he came to life. Before he returned to Heaven, He promised that He would come back to take his people to Heaven to be with Him.
Maybe He will come back today!

Guy-size
I rewarded our lawn specialist with a brown cow. We have girl-sized parfait glasses at the Cookie house--they don't hold ice cream and root beer proportional to such a guy job as getting a lawn mower ready for the season and teaching Julie how to drive it. So, I offered Logan his treat in the biggest, prettiest vessel I could find. He insisted on holding it so you can't see the pretty flower painted on the side of the vase.

Spoiled cats
| Naomi with one of her cats, Sherbet |
Cats deserve to be a bit spoiled when they've survived a barn fire.
Gorilla escaped from the inferno with swollen eyes, burned paws and singed fur. He spent a couple of weeks in a cardboard box on the back porch. \Libby fed him warm milk and Mom gave him tuna fish.
Gorilla adapted well to the pampering, and now sticks his nose up if his milk isn't warmed.
