Change of address

Dear Julie,

Your cow is now living on the bookshelf in the office. He seems to be adjusting well, despite having grammar books for neighbors.

Love,
Amy

Harding

This kiddo holds the record for longest stay in the kitchen. It's been too cold for him to be outside for very long.

Cleaning

Finding mouse droppings in my kitchen drawers calls for drastic measures.

The green room is even more green with a couple of plants.

Chilly kid

This little fellow arrived last week before the -14F temperature Sunday night. The deadly temperature earned him a place in a cardboard box in front of the heat vent in the kitchen Monday morning.

Brighten

A student stopped by yesterday to give me this bouquet of flowers and a gift, and to thank me for tutoring her last semester. The gesture brightened my day and the entire teachers' suite.

Pillows

I wanted to add some more color to my living room and distract from the stains on my sofa. I told my mom to keep her eye out for pillows. The next day she came home from the fabric store with pillow forms and fabric remnants. I am very pleased with the result.

Roast beef dinner

Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy,
homemade noodles, mushrooms, corn, bread

On your next snow day (or campus-closed-due-to-hazarous-temperatures day) I suggest grabbing a buy-one-get-one-free roast from your freezer and throwing it in your slow cooker. Then invite your family over for a dinner that will help your brothers forget how many times you've served them curry or hommus.

Apple pie (made with apples from my apple tree)
