Huron sunrise
Joel and Judith's family came to Michigan a week before the wedding to spend some vacation time. They invited me to share their Airbnb just steps away from Lake Huron.

Dark
It was dark by the time Libby and I finished arranging flowers for market. We're getting to the end of summer. It's no longer light until 10 p.m.

Raspberries
You can tell how much this kid loves raspberries by the fact that he ignored the piece of candy in his left hand while scooping up raspberries and eating them with his right hand.

Jeep
Our rental car turned out to be a Jeep, which made driving up the mountain roads to my cousin's wedding a lot more fun!

Colorado
I made the most of my summer vacation from teaching. After spending about three weeks with Julie up north in Michigan, I joined my parents on their trip to Colorado at the end of July.

We had a lot of helpers for the next step (Don't worry, I grabbed the climbing monkey on the left after I snapped the picture).

Laughing Whitefish Falls
Julie and I stopped at Laughing Whitefish Falls in Alger County. I failed to put on long clothing or use mosquito spray and spent most of our time doing a disjoined version of the the hokey-pokey. Despite my efforts, I end up with mosquito bites.
