We tried dragon fruit while visiting with Judith and the kids. Judith took us to a Whole Foods near them, and I discovered dragon fruit. Since I'd seen dragon fruit in books, but never eaten it, I decided to try it.
We had to do a little research about how to prepare dragon fruit. Peeling the outer skin off was surprisingly easy.
The texture was a little like a kiwi, and the taste was nondescript (though I wouldn't be surprised if a dragon fruit that was freshly picked in season might be more spectacular).
