If

If I had been in the van that day sitting where Julie was...
If Betsy had been thrown from the vehicle...
If Aaron had been wearing his seatbelt...

As Betsie ten Boom, who gave her life in a Nazi concentration camp, reminded her sister Corrie, "There are no 'if's' in God's world. And no places that are safer than other places" (The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom with John and Elizabeth Sherrill).

Though I start many thoughts with "if" I try not to finish them. Instead I trust my family to the God who cares more about them than I do.

  1. That is very wise, Amy. There is no one more trustworthy than the God who gave His own Son to die in our place! Nothing that happens to His children takes Him by surprise...He will use all of this pain and agony and tears to complete His will for you and for others, and to bring glory to His Name.

  3. if you would have been in the van...then who would have taken pictures?

Elegant black and white roses...they are a beautiful flower even without their color.
