Cook homeschool is closed today due to the flu. All four students hung their heads over the toilet some time early this morning. Dad is staying home from work--having taken up residence on one of the sofas. So far Mom, Aaron, Julie and Betsy and I have been spared--spared to clean toilets, tend animals, and heat up soup. I was especially sincere this morning when I asked the Lord to bless my bowl of cereal to my good.

I pray the five that are down will get up and the five that are up will stay that way! 10 up!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this photo! What's the story behind it?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Amy! We'll say a special prayer this morning that all Cooks will be healthy as quickly as possible! ~ Love, Betsy O.
ReplyDeleteIt's not much of a story behind the photo. The Larsons gave us the Amish dolls that they bought at a garage sale. We set them out at the blueberry stand by the road for decoration. I snapped a picture, and when I was looking for something to post this morning (since I knew a picture of the toilet wouldn't be appreciated and my sibling probably wouldn't like me flashing the camera in their bloodshot eyes) I decided the weather-beaten Amish couple on a broken chair would work.
